The process
Here is exactly what working together looks like from first contact to lasting change.
We start with a relaxed 20-minute conversation, no commitment required. You share what you've noticed, and we explore whether this approach is the right fit for your teenager.
The first session is calm and exploratory. I get to know your teenager, understand what they're experiencing, and begin to identify the patterns we'll work with. There is no pressure to share everything at once.
Each session is tailored to what your teenager needs in that moment, drawing on BWRT®, Positive Intelligence® and coaching as appropriate. The work is always practical, never passive.
After each session your teenager leaves with something practical, a technique, a reframe, a tool they can use in real life between sessions and long after our work together ends.
We check in regularly on progress and adjust the approach as needed. Some teenagers see meaningful change in just a few sessions. Others benefit from longer support, particularly where Positive Intelligence® work is involved.
My Approach
BWRT® works directly with the brain's automatic responses, bypassing the need to analyse or relive difficult experiences. Combined with Positive Intelligence® and coaching, it's a practical, structured approach to helping teenagers feel calmer and more in control.
BrainWorking Recursive Therapy works at the neurological level, changing how the brain responds to triggers before conscious thought kicks in. Fast, targeted, and effective even when the cause of the difficulty isn't fully understood.
A science-backed framework for building mental fitness, helping teenagers recognise the inner critic patterns that drive anxiety and overwhelm, and replace them with a calmer, more resourceful response.
Practical, forward-focused conversation that helps teenagers understand what's happening, identify what they want to feel instead, and build confidence in their own ability to cope.
Before this work, I spent nearly 30 years as a lawyer navigating high-pressure environments. I know what it looks like when someone is holding it together on the outside while struggling underneath, and I know that the right support, at the right time, makes a real difference.

Sessions are available online and are designed to fit around school and family life. The number of sessions varies depending on what your teenager needs, and we always review progress together.
If Positive Intelligence® work is part of the programme, this typically involves a slightly longer engagement to build the mental fitness habits that make the change last.
