A few things parents often wonder

You don't need a diagnosis

You don't need a formal diagnosis or a referral. If you've noticed a change in your teenager and want to understand what might help, that's enough.

Your teenager doesn't need to be keen

Many teenagers come reluctantly at first. Sessions are designed to be low-pressure and non-intimidating, and most engage naturally once they're in the room.

The free call is genuinely free

There is no sales pitch on the consultation call. It's a conversation to see if this is the right fit. If it isn't, I'll say so.

You won't be left in the dark

I keep parents appropriately informed of progress. Your teenager's privacy is respected, but you won't be wondering whether anything is happening.

There's no minimum commitment

We review progress regularly. You're never locked into a long programme unless this is otherwise agreed between us. We go at the pace that makes sense for your teenager.

Online works just as well

Many teenagers actually find online sessions easier. There's no travel, no unfamiliar environment, and they're on their own turf.

Frequently asked questions

This varies depending on what your teenager is experiencing. Many see meaningful change in 3 to 6 sessions. Where Positive Intelligence® work is involved, the programme is typically longer, around 6 to 8 weeks, to build the mental fitness habits that make the change last. We review progress regularly and I will always be honest with you about what I think is needed.
I work with teenagers typically between the ages of 13 and 19. If your child is younger or slightly older and you think this work could help, please do get in touch and we can talk through whether it's appropriate.
Yes, sessions are confidential. I keep parents appropriately informed about progress and the general direction of the work, but the specific content of what your teenager shares in sessions is private. This confidentiality is important for building the trust that makes the work effective. The only exception would be if there were serious safeguarding concerns.
Sessions are available online via video call. In-person sessions can be arranged in London in exceptional circumstances, on a case-by-case basis. Many teenagers actually prefer online sessions as they're in their own environment and there's no travel involved. Both are equally effective.
This is very common. I'd suggest starting with the free parent consultation and we can talk through how to have the conversation with your teenager. Sometimes just knowing more about what the sessions actually involve is enough to change their mind. We can also do an initial exploratory session that's very low-key.
No. This work is coaching and therapeutic techniques, not clinical therapy or medical treatment. If your teenager is under the care of a GP, psychiatrist, or psychologist, I am happy to work alongside that support. If you're unsure whether this work is appropriate for your teenager's situation, please do discuss it with their GP and feel free to ask me any questions on the free consultation call.

If something doesn't feel quite right with your teenager, you don't need to have all the answers before reaching out.

A conversation costs nothing, and it might be exactly what helps you figure out the next step.
